February for single people

Despite the fact that we single ladies find ourselves stuck in the most 'romantic month of the year'I have to say that there's still stuff for you to do this month. Lets start with Yavapai College which has a mired of performances going on this month. The community college, which is one of three in the city, is putting on the ritz in S'Wonderful Gershwin Musical, a musical collage of sorts taken from over 40 of the classical pieces written by the famous Ira Gershwin, brother and partner in arts to the even more famous George Gershwin. The musical, which has been getting acclaim to fame nation wide since its June premier, is coming to Arizona one night only this Saturday to show us what it's got. I've got to admit I'm excited. But then again this is my inner band geek talking so in all reality it could suck, however reading the ratings one has to highly doubt it. In either case its a great place to find yourself.

You can enjoy the
beauty of the symphonic sound this weekend at
 your local community college.
If your not all for that 50's swing feel, then save yourself for Sunday, where you could stop by Yavapai  campus and enjoy the Phoenix Symphony. The conductor, Michael Christie, leads you you on a musical journey through three piece, all of which bring their own touch of soul, class
and beauty. I really can't wait for that either!

Get into the game
this season by hitting the
local campus this month.
If your not really into the arts scene , or if your just in for a little more action. why not watch a game this weekend. Today, you have an option between a womans or mens basketball game, or a baseball game. And with one after another, you can get away with taking off a day to watch all three. The next Saturday, you can catch a little softball, if you just need to get in the mood for the spring.

Of course if your down for something more to chew own, why not take your taste buds on a journey. Go crazy and go out to the Taj Mahal, an Indian restaurant worth the plate cost. of course you could stop at the Raven If your feeling for more authentic cuisine, but I wouldn't do it unless I was really feeling like dealing with the hipsters that come along with it. You could hop in for a slice of Bill's Pizza, and challenge yourself with the array of strange styles they have to offer. Because lets get real, who doesn't like pizza?

So if you were thinking of mopping this month, I hope this helped. Because no one ever said being single in the F-month couldn't be fun, too.
